In 1940, our founder John B. Simrell created the Jiffy Steamer Company which is still family owned and operated today.  

In the early years, Mr. Simrell’s small company manufactured hat steamers for milliners and hatters. Through hard work and determination, he quickly realized the tremendous potential steam possessed for countless jobs in homes and shops.

Today, we are the largest steam manufacturer in the world with over 1,000 dealers across 55 countries. Millions of Jiffy Steamers are in homes, clothing retailers, tint shops and more.

Today, our manufacturing operations are based in Union City, Tennessee. Every steamer that comes out of our factory goes through 52 unique steps and calculated testing before it reaches the customer; a true testament to the skill, knowledge and commitment of our devoted staff. We are incredibly fortunate that the average tenure of our employees is over 22.8 years.

None of this would be possible without our loyal customers at home and abroad. Here’s to 85 more years of manufacturing world-class, American-made products!
