1940
Jiffy Steamer is founded, invents Model J-1 hat steamer.
1950
Jiffy begins serving commercial hat makers.
1963
Company adds steam hose to its hat steamer’s base to make it a useful wrinkle removing tool in the clothing industry - the Model J-2 is born.
1972
Model J-3 Jiffy commercial steamer is released.
1991
Model J-4 unit replaces the J-3 Jiffy steamer as the premier pro-line unit for commercial applications.
1995
ESTEAM personal hand-held steamer is developed.
2000
Model J-4000 Pro-Line Commercial Steamer takes the place of the Model J-4. The J-2000 Model for residential use is introduced.
2007
Due to an exemplary safety record, Jiffy enters the State of Tennessee’s Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) and is still active in the program today.
2008
John Bailey Simrell, co-founder of Jiffy Steamer Company passes away. John was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the greatest generation. He is greatly missed by family, our community and all Jiffy Steamer associates.
2014
Jiffy is the first inductee to the Northwest Tennessee Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame.
2015
Jiffy celebrates its 75th year in business.
2016
Jiffy is awarded the Industry of the Year Award by the Obion County Chamber of Commerce.
2020
Jiffy celebrates its 80th year in business.
